Use a lunker city bakudan weight please. Theyre made with a swivel--less line twist.

I used this system back in the early 80's when I fished for surf perch off the beach only had a longer line for the hook. Back then I used a spark plug for the weight.

I’m loving drop shotting the 3.5 inch panorama currently. Caught an 8 pounder yesterday with it. That’s a New Jersey 8 pounder so equivalent to like a 13 pounder down south. The state record I think is only 12 pounds in nj.

Spin baits are definitely a fish catcher...just pulled in a catfish this morning with one! I usually run a double tailed jig on the end of my apin baits! Works pretty well

I am a multi-species fisherman, and I use this rig a lot but I primarily fish with live bait and dead bait and I use two hooks instead of one. I also use a specialized dropshot knot which seems to keep the hook in place a lot better than other knots.
